Zambia background
Zambia is located in South Africa it's above Zimbabwe and Botswana. It was the territory of Northern Rhodesia in 1891 until the UK took over the country in 1923. Advances in mining spurred immagration in the 1920s to 1930s. The name was changed to Zambia in 1964 when they reached independence. In the 1980s and 1990s the drought of copper prices really hurt the economy. Zambia was ruled by a one party rule, until elections took place in 1991.

The country of Zambia is a Rupublic nation. It contains different brances in their government, alot like America. They even govern with the Judicial branch,Executive branch, and legislative branch. A major issue that plagues Zambia is the growing rate of HIV/AIDS. Over 13% of people have this disease. Also another major issue they deal with is underweight and malnurishment. The economy in Zabia is well controlled. They get most of the money from their copper mines.
